TASSIMO FINESSE INSTRUCTIONS

When the ‘calc’ indicator on your TASSIMO FINESSE lights up and turns red, it’s time to descale your coffee machine. View video on how to descale your machine or follow the steps below.

1. When you see that the red indicator light is on, it’s time to descale your machine. You’ll need two TASSIMO descaling tablets and a container that will hold at least 17 fl. oz. (500 ml), in addition to a soft cloth.

2. Take the water reservoir off of your TASSIMO FINESSE and fill it up to the line marked “calc”. Now, fully dissolve two descaling tablets in the water. Place the water reservoir back on the machine.

3. Take the Service T DISC out from the side of the machine and place it in the brew head, with the barcode facing down, where you would normally place a T DISC. Take the cup stand off of the machine and put a container (that will hold at least 17 fl. oz. or 500 ml) on the tray. Push and hold the Start/Stop button for 5 seconds.

4. The descaling program will run for approximately 30 minutes and the status light will blink. When the process is complete, the status display will stop blinking and stay lit. Now empty the water from the container.

1. Please use a soft cloth to wipe down the machine. Start by removing the water reservoir, wash it, rinse it, and then fill it with water up to the “max” mark. Place the water reservoir back on the machine. After you have put a container that will hold at least 17 fl. oz. (500 ml) on the cup tray, push the Start/Stop button to begin cleaning the machine. You will know the cleaning process is complete when the status light turns yellow and stops blinking. Empty the container and repeat the cleaning procedure another two times. Now use a soft cloth to wipe off all of the parts of your machine.

2. Take out the service T DISC and store it in the machine you'll need it the next time you clean your coffee maker. Fill the water reservoir and place it back on the machine. Put the cup stand back into the correct position. Now, your TASSIMO FINESSE is ready to be used.

2.  Unplug the machine from the outlet and take off the cup stand. Wash the cup stand in the dishwasher or under the tap. After cleaning, put the cup stand back into the correct position. Take the T DISC holder and the spout off of the machine. Take the spout elements out of the holder unit and clean them both either in the dishwasher or under the tap.

3. Take the soft cloth and carefully wipe down the brewing unit and the barcode scanner window. Put the clean coffee spout unit back together and insert it. Make sure that it clicks into place before replacing the T DISC holder. Plug the machine back into the outlet.

4.  Next we clean the brewing element. Start by removing the water reservoir, wash it, rinse it, and then fill it with water up to the “max” mark and place it back on the machine. Take the Service T DISC out from the side of the machine and put it where you would normally put a T DISC. Put the empty container on the cup stand and push the Start/Stop button to initiate the cleaning process. You will know the cleaning process is complete when the status light turns yellow and stops blinking. Empty the container and repeat the cleaning procedure another two times. Take out the service T DISC and store it in the machine so that you will be able to find it the next time you clean your coffee maker.

5. Fill the water reservoir and place it back on the machine. Now your TASSIMO FINESSE is ready to be used.

5. Now, insert your preferred T DISC in the brew head. Make sure that the barcode is facing down. Push the Start/Stop button after you have closed the brew head. Your TASSIMO FINESSE is equipped with INTELLIBREW™ technology and will recognize the barcode and make a perfect cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. When you would like a more intense coffee flavour, just push and hold the Start/Stop button for 3 seconds to activate the IntensityBoost function.

What do I do when the red cup light on my TASSIMO FINESSE comes on?

Is your coffee machine making noises as if it were brewing a drink, but nothing is coming out? This means that there is probably a problem related to the water reservoir. First, check and make sure that the water reservoir is correctly installed. Once you are sure the reservoir is correctly positioned, take a look at the water float. Does it seem to be stuck? Clean out the water reservoir and free the float. Now, run the TASSIMO machine again and see if it will brew your drink.
