The difference between black coffee and an americano is in the brewing method. Black coffee is usually brewed in a drip coffee machine or via black coffee pods that you use for your TASSIMO coffee machines. Americanos are made by adding hot water to espresso shots made with espresso beans instead of regular coffee beans. The espresso beans are roasted longer than standard coffee beans.
