I recently purchased two packs of Tassimo’s new hot chocolate, hoping for a rich, comforting treat. Unfortunately, what I got was one of the most disappointing hot chocolate experiences I’ve ever had. From the first sip, the drink tasted incredibly watered down — like someone had taken a proper hot chocolate and diluted it to the point of being nearly flavorless. There was none of the creamy, chocolatey richness you’d expect or hope for. It was more like a weak, vaguely cocoa-flavored warm water than a proper hot chocolate. To make things worse, the aftertaste was horrible — bitter, artificial, and lingering in the worst way. It left a strange coating in my mouth that I couldn’t get rid of, even after rinsing with water. I gave it a few more tries, hoping maybe it was just a bad pod or a fluke, but every cup was just as bad. In the end, I had to throw both packs away. That’s a complete waste of money, and extremely frustrating. I’ve had better results from cheap instant hot chocolate sachets. Tassimo usually delivers decent drinks, but this product completely misses the mark. Unless they seriously reformulate this, I would not recommend it to anyone. It’s honestly one of the worst hot chocolates I’ve ever tried. Rating: 1/5 – Only because I can’t give zero.
