What’s Caffè Crema?
If you translate it literally from Italian Caffè Crema means ‘Cream Coffee’, but they’re not talking about the cream you might stir into your coffee. Back in the 1940s and 50s, ‘Caffè Crema’ was how they described the drink we now call ‘espresso’. In fact, people still enjoy a drink called ‘Caffè Crema’ in parts of Germany, Switzerland and Northern Italy. But, they’re referring to a long espresso, brewed with more water than a standard espresso. This is the kind of coffee you’ll be making when you use TASSIMO’s Caffè Crema T DISCs. It’s a delicious black coffee featuring a silky golden crema layer on top.
